During the extensive conversion of the Troms\u00f8<\/strong>, an important step was taken towards a more sustainable future. The vessel underwent a complete repowering with clean Stage V engines. The project focused not only on technical modernization, but also on making optimal use of available sustainability subsidies.<\/p>\n

The project involved a comprehensive refit, including the installation of a new Hardox steel cargo floor by Jan Matena of Papendrecht. The Troms\u00f8<\/strong> was also equipped with a powerful new propulsion system consisting of a Caterpillar C32 Stage V main engine supplied by Pon Power, complemented by a Scania DC13 Stage V bow thruster engine from Veth Propulsion by Twin Disc. A new Yanmar generator was installed to provide the vessel’s onboard power supply.<\/p>\n

In addition, the wheelhouse was completely modernized with a new integrated navigation console and no fewer than eight cameras supplied by Dutch Marine Technology (DMT), providing the crew with the latest navigation and monitoring capabilities. All systems are integrated with Shipping Technology’s BRAIN platform, enabling continuous monitoring and reporting of fuel consumption, performance and emissions.<\/p>\n

The complete installation and integration were carried out by Scheepstechniek Drechtsteden. Thanks to OK Marine \/ Slurink, the vessel now operates on 100% HVO renewable diesel<\/strong>, further reducing its environmental footprint.<\/p>\n

The result? ALMOST ZERO emissions.<\/strong><\/p>\n
