Motor barge Tromsø was completed in 2004 at De Waal Machinefabriek B.V. in Werkendam. The ship is 86 meters long, 9.5 meters wide and has a tonnage of 1916 tons.
The m.b.s. Tromsø has been part of the Carpe Diem Inland shipping fleet since 2015.
Renovation of Motor barge Tromsø was completed in August 2024. Now one of the cleanest on the inland waterways. New hardox steel floor at Jan Matena in Papendrecht. New C32 main engine stage V from Pon Power, new Scania D13 bow thruster engine stage V from Veth Propulsion by Twin Disc, new Yanmar generator, all built in at Scheepstechniek Drechtsteden. New nautical equipment in the desk plus 8 cameras by DMT in Alblasserdam. OK Marine #slurink fills the bunkers with 100% HVO biodiesel and this is all recorded and reported with Shipping Technology. ALMOST ZERO emissions!! Now we can make our customers’ CO2 and nitrogen problems disappear in collaboration with our client Transko BV.
